Access conditions

The use of SciFinder Scholar is limited to the University of Louisville students, staff and faculty. It is also limited to educational and not-for-profit research purposes. Access to SciFinder Scholar is restricted to two simultaneous users. If you are unable to connect, please try again later. Also, please remember to disconnect from SciFinder Scholar when you have finished so it is available to other patrons.

SciFinder Scholar is also accessible on most all of the public workstations in the UofL libraries - just find and click on the SciFinder Scholar icon on the desktop.

Hours of operation

SciFinder Scholar is available 24 hours a day except on weekends where it is down for maintenance from Saturday 10 pm to Sunday 01:00 am. In addition, on the first Saturday of each month, SciFinder Scholar will only be available until 5:00 pm, and will not be accessible again until 01:00 am the following day (Sunday).

 

Archives

Previous versions of the SciFinder Scholar client software are still available to download. We recommend you always update your software and use the latest version. However, if you have a technology need to restore/reinstall a previous version please use the contact information in the Assistance section. Please have the version you need and your PC operating system version. The latest version of SciFinder Scholar is version 2007. You may download and install this latest version. See: Downloading instructions for PC or MAC OS X.
